AnOther takes on MiuMiu

Cover for the september/09 edition

The bi-anual, culture-rich, luxurious magazine known as "AnOther" just released a fashion film that was exclusively put in charge by this magazine to Fashion photographer Willy Vanderperr known for his work with female super models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

The film features the Pret-a-porter, younger clothing line by Miuccia Prada, called "Miu Miu" on it's A/W 10 edition which to me was amazing. The use of squared toes pumps, flattering cuts, and the magnificent use of black, yellow, orange, lilac, mint green and purple in all the collection was simply outstanding.

And now thanks to AnOther we have a film to prove the magnificent collection, and to start preparing us for this season of cold winds and breath taking clothes.

You might recognize some of the places shown on this film because according to statements given by Dazed Productions, "This film was Shot in the hidden rooms and labyrinthine corridors of 34, Avenue Foch, the Miu Miu showspace." We don't think it gets cooler than that, it's like a backstage to heaven.

Styled by Olivier Rizzo, starring Lindsey Wixson and Mariacarla Boscono, with hair by Guido Palau and make up by Pat McGrath.

On this film Vanderperre is clearly influenced by those dark and scary flicks from the past, the constant change from colour to B&W, the disruptive signal and the general confusion atmosphere makes it all look so much more grim. The music used on the video is definitely a bit strange and frightening which only added to the already austere scene. Vanderperre says: "I wanted to reflect a kind of haunting, a feeling of unease in the room, and strange attraction.", and he definitely acomplished it.

So anyway we hope you enjoy this mini film as much as we did, and leave your own reviews about on on the comment sections. You can comment even if you're not a part of Blogspot, so don't be afraid and drop us a line.

Thank you for reading!
