Lohan's postmortem spasms

So we all saw the F L O P of Lindsay Lohan and Estrella Archs working for Ungaro for S/S 10 on Paris fashion week. The outcome was categorized as tacky, dated, bright pieces of clown vomit. In the best of cases, there was a single piece I would rescue from the whole collection, but that's beyond the point.

Here's a little reminder of what it looked like:

After this show the media and the fashion critics ate Lohan alive with comments like:

"Hot pink, orange and flashy, with an overworked heart motif relentless in its execution, the collection displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver."

and
"Too many of the styling tricks did not come off. It’s all very well covering the odd nipple with sequined hearts."

But the real dagger through the heart came from the founder of this house Emmanuel Ungaro, when he said:

"The collaboration with Lindsay lohan was a dissaster. I'm furious, but there's nothing I can do."

Even the WWD called it "an embarassment" among other things.

After this Lindsay Lohan and Estrella archs were given the pink slip, Mounir Moufarrige (executive director of the company), resigned from his position and Úngaro regreted with all their heart this hot mess.

Many reported that Ungaro was desperately seeking buyers, which they didn't get. That collection was not sold to any of the retailers or department stores on most cases and was very wisely put on the list of mistakes for the Ungaro house.

But is Lohan off the fashion world after Ungaro?
The answer is NO, Soon after ungaro she founded 6126 (which refers to marilyn monroe birthday 6.1.26) a label exclusively made for leggins (which was pretty obvious since she practicaly lives in leggins). They are wearable and trendy, except for the ones that have knee pads (wtf was she thinking?).

But that's not the end of it, for fall she's expanding the brand to mini dresses, footwear, boots, shorts and jackets and she just finished doing the lookbook of it, she's even modeling for it (who knew).

Kristi Kaylor president of 6126 said that the collection is fabric mixing, — leathers mixed with laces- a hard edge with a soft spot.

Take a look at it:

I have one question for Lindsay, Where is marilyn monroe on all of this? Last time I checked Miss Monroe didn't go around wearing leather and bondage boots, probably yo meant Marilyn Manson, right?

This collection is 280 pieces and the prices range from $60 to $1000, which to me is freaking ridiculous, but hey! to each it's own.

Anyway, if you thought that the collection is not half bad (as I did first) because the colours are great and the shapes are pretty (I think the first part of it was very well put together), think again. The promo shoots appeared not too long ago and all we have to say is TACKY, so we feature her on the WTF moment of the month.

Here are the promo shoots for her line:

But we have to give her a break, at least we don't have glittery heart pasties on boobs this time (yaii!), we think this will sell well and our prediction is that Lohan will continue to make headlines, but not exactly for her work on the fashion world.

Thank you for reading this lohan novel haha.
I ask you would you buy any of this?
